Learn implantology the way you will practice it
A hands-on institute on Rhodes where theory, live surgery and supervised practice meet, in classes of eight.
Why we offer this course
Completing a specialty in Periodontics and Implant Surgery in the USA, I believed my role in implantology was that of a surgeon: place implants, augment hard and soft tissue, and leave the restorative and laboratory side to others.
After more than 20 years of practice and countless complications managed, I understand that long-term success demands that an implantologist knows the biologic, technical and engineering principles involved in every step of treatment. And our patients ask for something specific: high standards delivered in the most simple, effective and painless manner. Contemporary implantology is not about performing complex surgeries; it is about minimally invasive, predictable approaches that lead to aesthetic, functional and lasting results.
So, 20 years and more than 16,000 implants later, after countless hours of continuing education, years inside dental laboratories and years of teaching alongside the best doctors in the field, I decided to put this program together and share the accumulated knowledge.
The goal
To teach the basic biologic and engineering principles behind the surgical, restorative and laboratory parts of treatment, the principles that decide success. Complications are presented openly, with the key elements of avoiding them and dealing with them effectively.
Through lectures and hands-on practice you will learn a deliberately small set of techniques that deliver predictable results: soft and hard tissue augmentation, impression taking, biologically friendly prosthesis design and more. Having practiced nearly every technique available, I found that mastering a few selected ones covered the needs of all my cases.
The program also includes a session on treatment planning and on presenting the plan to the patient so that it is accepted, a greatly underestimated subject that dentists are never taught in dental school.
How it differs
The course is limited to 8 participants. This is the only way to have the time to thoroughly teach each one of you every step involved in implant therapy.
My goal is for you to apply what you learn in your daily practice immediately. The route we follow is simple: I explain what to do, I show you how to do it, and then you do it under my supervision.
